    EXCELLENT FOR DEEP CONDITIONING
I very much like this heat cap. It’s filled with flax seed that hold the heat for a long time. My hair was super dry. Luckily, no breakage or split ends but just seriously dry. A deep conditioning was in order and adding heat to that helps the cuticle open up and take the moisturizing effects better. The terry cloth interior also helps hold in the heat.I zapped the cap in the microwave – started at 60 seconds then added an additional 15 seconds. Cap was nicely warm to the touch. After conditioning my hair, I covered my hair with the included throw-away plastic cap and then topped it with this heat cap. Waited about 20-25 minutes and let it work its hot magic then removed, discarded plastic shower cap and washed my hair. You can see from the before and after pictures the difference the deep conditioning and heat cap made in my hair. In case you’re interested in what I used, I researched various salong products (Redken, Matrix, etc) as well as DIY. What I learned about DIY – forget the egg and yogurt and other nonsense. Those molecules are too big to penetrate the hair shaft. Here’s my recipe which was just enough for my hair:4 TBL Olive oil2 TBL Unrefined coconut oil (important that it’s unrefined)1 TBL HoneyThe coconut oil is thick – think the consistency of lard. When you mix it with the olive oil and honey, it will start to break down but you’ll see some little white bits in the mixture. That’s ok – it will fully dissolve with the heat of your scalp/head plus the heat of the cap. Don’t be tempted to microwave the mix. That will negate the value of the unrefined coconut oil which is oil that has not been heated in the manufacturing process. Have a rag or towel handy as this will drip down your forehead a bit. Leave on for 20-30 minutes tops. Your hair will only absorb so much moisture so leaving it on for hours isn’t going to do any more good. Think of a sponge sitting in a bowl of water. Once that sponge is full, it literally can’t absorb any more liquid. I shampooed my hair three rounds to make sure all the oil was out and then finished with my regular conditioner, as usual.I think the pictures speak volumes for the results.

    Funky Smell
I have horribly frizzy and dry hair so this has been a lifesaver post-shower for me. My only complaint is that after a couple uses I started to notice a weird smell after microwaving the cap. I think its from the seeds inside the cap so there isn’t much I can do, but it is pretty unpleasant.

    Microwavable conditioning cap
Never try it before, but it works good.

    IT WORKS
Bought this after seeing someone on YouTube swear by heated hair caps for dry hair. I have really frizzy hair and the bottom half of my hair has been bleached over three times, permanently dyed, and had intense color remover applied thrice as well. After a trim and a hair gloss to add shine/color back into the ends I used a scalp oil treatment paired w a hair masque, left on for an hour w cap, my hair looks as soft as my new growth, just more dry. I had been doing all of the above and my hair looked way better, however it was missing something to bring it to where I wanted it to be; I could never get my hair to actually feel soft before this heated cap.No one can tell how damaged the bottom is, I wish someone would have told about this sooner!!!

    Works well on hair
I really loved this flaxseed deep conditioner bonnet for the hair. But I was only able to get 3 good uses out of it. It burned in the microwave with it only being in there for 2 minutes. I really wish I was sent a replacement

Great way to deep condition your hair
I have been looking for something like to use for deep conditioning my hair. I love it. Warm it up in the microwave, put a show cap on so the hair stays wet and the cover doesn’t absorb the water. You can do whatever you want while deep conditioning your hair!

Molds/Sprouts if any moisture left on it
I used the cap one time with a shower cap. Afterwards, I sat it next to my sink after I was done washing my face and I believe my counter must’ve been wet. I went in with a different conditioner and used it again and warmed it up again. Afterwards I put it in a drawer in the bathroom until the next deep condition a week later. When I go to pick it up it’s hard as a rock and when I lift it I see mold or is sprouting? Outside was definitely molding but the inside might be sprouts. I got one for my sibling and she tried to wash hers because she didn’t like the smell that came with it and this was the result a some time later.Might be ok if you literally never get it wet. Wasn’t with the risk for me as I use it in the bathroom

I used it twice and I like that I can do other chore while my hair is getting the heated treatment.I have nothing wrong to say so far.

I literally received the cap earlier today and this is my very first time using it!!! Immediately after taking the cap out of the microwave I noticed burning smell. I then observe burn marks within the cap, and once I flipped it over: I noticed HUGE hole to be formed on the lining if the cap which of course led to the flaxseeds to fall from it. From what I can tell, the material used is not fit for this cap in order for it to be “microwaveable”, and is extremely cheap overall. This is not my first time using these hair treatment caps, I did have one that lasted me 3 years and could handle an adequate amount of time in the microwave. Super disappointed, if I could rate this purchase 0 stars I would…
