Before I developed Drunk Elephant, I had all sorts of skin issues. I was a frustrated, confused brand-hopper searching for anything that would help. Nothing really worked, and if it did, it didn’t work for long. I started educating myself about ingredients, how skin reacts to them, and what roles they play in a formulation. I identified six ingredient categories that I believed were at the root of my issues—today we call them the Suspicious 6.

My granddaughter had asked for this some time ago so when I got it for her she was happy, happy. She loves all the products in the box. They smell wonderful and she loves the feel of them on her skin. We give it five stars for sure.

Expensive– and the day serum dried up so was unable to use it
At $74, for 6 small items, this was a pretty expensive purchase. But I wanted to try the Drunk Elephant products since I heard such high praise about them, and this was a good way to try out several products before I invest in an expensive bottle of any of these.Well, once again I was taught a lesson of leaving something for later. Three months after my purchase, I tried to day serum and nothing came out. I was puzzled but let it go, and used the other bottles. Today I finally broke it open to see what’s going on– I thought it was just not pumping right– and all I found was a bit of dry white powder at the bottom. The entire bottle dried up.Thankfully, the others did work and I can say that I do like them, although I’m not entirely sure why they’d be superior to other, less expensive, organic products. It’s probably due to high quality ingredients but still, the price is way up there. The face cream is pleasant and smooth, as is the night serum. The oil helped me quite a bit when my skin was flaking due to exfoliation serums. I didn’t try the foundation since I don’t use such products but I’ll see if I can add it to a powdered face mask (I think that would work– need to find out.) What else? Oh, the scrub gel. It seems gentle enough when my skin is being sensitive (again, due to trying exfoliating serums.)Overall… hmm. If I was rich I guess I’d purchase this due to the high quality ingredients. But I don’t have extra money to spend on a bit of serum and cream that’s gone quickly. You CAN use small amounts so it doesn’t vanish quickly, but still. I may purchase the scrub gel since it seems gentle– the others I may need to leave for later, if ever.
